Meet the Author: Delve into the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder (1867–1957), who was born in a humble log cabin nestled in the Wisconsin woods. She embarked on an adventurous odyssey with her family across America's heartland during the 1870s and 1880s, eventually settling in Dakota Territory. In 1885, she wed Almanzo Wilder, and their daughter Rose was born the following year. The Wilders established their permanent abode at Rocky Ridge Farm in Mansfield, Missouri, in 1894 after years of farming.
